[Galmed approves $10 million cash reserve for purchasing digital assets] Biopharmaceutical company Galmed Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (NASDAQ: GLMD) announced today that its board of directors has approved a digital asset management strategy as part of a new financial investment policy and capital allocation plan. To this end, the board has established a cryptocurrency committee responsible for evaluating and, where appropriate, overseeing the implementation of any activities related to cryptocurrency investment, including potentially using up to 50% of the company's cash reserves for purchasing digital assets, currently around $10 million.
