The value locked in liquid staking protocols in Solana increased by 91 percent in the first half of the year. The total value locked in protocols such as Marinade, Lido, and Jito has grown significantly year-to-date.
Marinade Finance is the leader in the liquid staking market in Solana with a market share of 62 percent, followed by Lido with a 27 percent market share. The Solana ecosystem has seen a massive increase in the value of assets staked in liquid staking protocols, with a 91 percent increase in value.
According to The Block Research, at the end of June, liquid staking protocols such as Marinade Finance, Lido, Jito, JPool and Socean held a total of $187 million worth of Solana (SOL) tokens. This figure marks an increase in the $98 million valuation locked at the beginning of the year. Currently, these protocols account for 69 percent of the total value locked within the network, indicating that approximately $270 million worth of SOL has been locked.
Since the beginning of this year, approximately 1.66 million SOLs (worth $31 million) have been invested in liquid staking protocols. This shows that the increased interest contributed to the jump in the total value of liquid staking.
