Analysis of Airdrop Opportunities and Participation Strategies in the Cosmos Ecosystem

In the blockchain field, Solana and Cosmos are two highly regarded public chain ecosystems. Recently, several high-return projects have emerged within the Cosmos ecosystem, such as Celestia, Injective, Neutron, and Sei. Some emerging projects like Dymension and Altlayer have also begun to provide airdrop rewards to stakers in the Cosmos ecosystem. Notably, the modular public chain Celestia has allocated 20 million TIA to stakers of Cosmos Hub and Osmosis, as well as IBC relayers.

For users who wish to participate in the Cosmos ecosystem Airdrop, participating in the protocol testnet interactions is also an important way, in addition to staking the relevant tokens.

Potential Airdrop Opportunities

Polymer Public Chain

Polymer Labs is a modular network protocol built on IBC, aimed at achieving a decentralized, secure, and permissionless cross-chain network. The project completed a $3.6 million seed round financing in March 2022 and partnered with Celestial to bring IBC into Optimistic rollups.

Berachain Public Chain

Berachain is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK, employing a Proof of Liquidity consensus mechanism. The project has launched its testnet and completed a $42 million funding round in April 2023.

SquidSquid cross-chain trading and liquidity routing protocol

SquidSquid completed a $4 million strategic financing in February 2024, with participation from several well-known investment institutions.

Noble Cosmos Ecology Application Chain

Noble is an application chain built for the issuance of native assets for the Cosmos and IBC ecosystems. Its development company NASD completed a $3.3 million seed round financing in October 2023.

Initia Public Chain

Initia is an L1 public chain on Cosmos. Although it is developed using the Cosmos SDK, it adopts the MoveVM computing framework based on the Move smart contract language. The project has received support from the investment department of a well-known trading platform.

Fairblock Privacy Public Chain

Fairblock is built using the Cosmos SDK and aims to achieve conditional decryption and pre-execution privacy. The project completed a $2.5 million pre-seed funding round in October 2023.

Tabi Chain Game Public Chain

Tabi Chain is a game blockchain with EVM compatibility on Cosmos, scheduled to launch its testnet in February 2024. Its parent company, Tabi, completed a $10 million angel round of financing in May 2023.

Eclipse Modular Settlement Layer

Eclipse is a modular settlement layer that supports multiple execution environments and data availability layers. The project completed a total of $15 million in funding in 2022.

EigenLayer Ethereum Re-staking Protocol

EigenLabs, the developer of EigenLayer, completed a $50 million Series A funding round in March 2023, having previously raised $14.5 million in a seed round.

Wormhole Cross-Chain Bridge

Wormhole recently announced its ZK roadmap, planning to integrate zero-knowledge proof technology. The project completed a $225 million financing with a valuation of $2.5 billion in November 2023, setting the record for the highest single-round financing amount for a cryptocurrency project in 2023.

Participation Strategy

Most projects do not have strict requirements for the number of staked tokens, but there are exceptions. For example, Dymension requires at least 1 ATOM to be staked before the deadline or 1 staked on Stride, while OSMO requires at least 10 to be staked. The Saga Airdrop also has specific requirements for the number of staked ATOM and TIA.

To maximize airdrop opportunities, it is recommended to adopt the following strategies:

  1. Stake as many types of Cosmos ecosystem tokens as possible.
  2. Actively participate in governance voting
  3. Follow and participate in the testnet activities of various projects.

Staking Platform

The staking platforms in the Cosmos ecosystem are mainly divided into three categories:

  1. Wallet Staking (e.g., Keplr Wallet, Leap Wallet)
  2. Ecological Liquidity Platform Staking (e.g., Stride, StaFi)
  3. Protocol official website staking

The staking platforms available for different tokens may vary slightly, and users can choose the appropriate platform for staking based on their own needs and preferences.

Carefully analyzed the on-chain staking data of Cosmos, this ecosystem can be called a value depression for NFT digital art, a rare opportunity not to be missed.
