The US election may drive the rise of gold and Bitcoin, tech giants plan to invest 10 billion USD to buy BTC.
Recently, analysts have stated that if a certain well-known political figure wins the next US presidential election, both gold and Bitcoin may perform well. They particularly emphasized the concept of "devaluation trading." The so-called "devaluation trading" refers to an investment strategy that profits from currency devaluation or weakness, typically triggered by Inflation or expansionary fiscal policies. In this case, investors choose to buy assets such as gold and Bitcoin, which are seen as store of value, because even if the purchasing power of the currency declines, these assets can still maintain their value.
These analysts also pointed out that retail investors are also supporting gold and Bitcoin. Since last summer, investment in gold and Bitcoin ETFs has shown a growing trend, which is expected to continue until 2025. They believe that possible policy changes will also be beneficial for the development of these two assets.
In addition, analysts mentioned an aggressive Bitcoin acquisition plan announced by a tech company through its "21/21 plan," believing that this could further boost Bitcoin's performance. The plan involves raising $42 billion in funding over the next three years, with half ($21 billion) coming from equity and the other half ($21 billion) from fixed income securities. Analysts stated that in 2025 alone, the company plans to invest $10 billion to purchase Bitcoin, which is roughly equivalent to the total amount it has accumulated since mid-2020.
These views reflect the current market perspective on gold and Bitcoin as tools for hedging against Inflation and currency devaluation. However, investors should remain cautious when making decisions and fully consider various risk factors.
