The core PCE inflation index in the U.S. rose in June, which may affect the Fed's interest rate cut process.

On July 31, a media report stated that "the core PCE inflation in June seems to have started to worsen, and is not better than when the Fed began to cut interest rates last year, and in some indicators, it is even worse. The core PCE price index for June has a 3-month annualized rate of 2.6% (compared to 2.3% in the same period last year). When calculated on a 6-month annualized basis, this figure is 3.2% (compared to 3.3% in the same period last year)."
