It has been reported that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia recently ruled on a case of NFT theft. Canadian criminal Cameron Albert Redman was sentenced to one year in prison for allegedly conspiring to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft. Redman and his accomplices exploited the online identity of artists to direct fans to fraudulent websites to steal NFTs. They defrauded over 200 victims of more than 79.4 within a few days.
