Comment from a former Bitcoin developer on Ethereum: "The only choice is..."

Recently, the increase in Ether prices seems to have also affected Jeff Garzik, one of the former developers of Bitcoin. Speaking to the U.S. media outlet Decrypt, Garzik stated that he focuses more on technology than on price in Ethereum and looks at the long term.

"In 10-20 years, there will only be two."

The famous developer, who emphasized the importance of Ethereum's technology and decentralization, used the following statements:

"I definitely don't think negatively about Ethereum. Because the reality is that everyone is building something on EVM. For this reason, I want to look beyond the price. What do you think will happen in 10-20 years? I believe that without a doubt, only Bitcoin and Ethereum will remain..."

Garzik also stated that the first programming tool developers think of, whether it is a smart contract or a dApp, is Ethereum, and that this mindset will also drive him forward in the long term.

The price of Ethereum has seen a significant rise recently, especially due to the impact of ETFs and corporate purchases. While the price begins to challenge the 4 thousand dollar mark after months, there had been a net investment of 1.8 billion dollars into spot ETFs in the US just last week.
