Omdia: Outsourced AI tools have become the mainstream choice for game developers.

On March 19, Jin Ten Data reported that during the Global Game Developers Conference (GDC2025), Omdia stated in an online seminar that more game developers are currently opting to purchase AI tools rather than developing them in-house, in order to drop costs and risks. Large game publishers are beginning to provide AI tools to small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting market maturity. Customized AI tools are on the rise, with specialized AI tools emerging to meet the needs of game development, helping to enhance research and development efficiency.
