As Trump made remarks about "buying an island", Denmark will strengthen the defense of Greenland.

On December 25th, Jinshi Data reported that Denmark announced an important new plan to enhance the security of Greenland. Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said on Tuesday that Copenhagen plans to spend about $1.5 billion in the new defense plan. He said: "For many years, our investment in the Arctic has been insufficient, and now we are planning to strengthen our presence in the Arctic." He explained that this package plan was planned in advance, but ironically, it coincided with US President-elect Trump's call for the United States to have this Arctic island. He also said that Denmark is willing to "work with the United States" to ensure the security of Greenland.
