Gate Alpha Points are a scoring mechanism launched by Gate to track and measure user activity within the Gate Alpha ecosystem. These points determine your eligibility for Token Generation Events (TGE) and Alpha token airdrops. By calculating daily asset balances and purchase activity, Gate Alpha Points guarantee fair and transparent participation thresholds. They serve as a valuable credential within the Gate Alpha ecosystem.

How Are Gate Alpha Points Calculated?

Your Gate Alpha Points are the total sum of daily points earned over the past 15 days, with three main components:

1. Balance Points (Asset Points)

The calculation is based on the total value of assets you hold on the Gate centralized exchange.

Included: Only tokens listed on the spot market count, including assets in Alpha accounts and tokens traded on the internal market.

Excluded: Tokens not listed on the spot market or not included in the Alpha section are excluded from your calculation.

2. Trading Volume Points (Buy Points)

Only “buy” transactions in the Alpha Featured section are counted. “Sell” transactions are not included.

The rules are as follows:

• For your first daily “buy” of at least 2 USDT, you earn 1 point.
• You earn an additional point each time your cumulative buy amount doubles.

For example, buying 4 USDT earns 2 points, 8 USDT earns 3 points, and so on.

3. Special Points

You earn special points by participating in designated token promotions.

During promotional periods, trading specified tokens earns you extra points.

Snapshot and Update Schedule

• Daily snapshot: 07:59:59 (UTC+8)
• Daily update: Before 14:00 (UTC+8)

For example, if you complete a transaction before 07:59:59 (UTC+8) on April 23, it will count toward points for April 22.

Do Gate Alpha Points Expire Automatically?

Yes. Gate Alpha Points use a rolling 15-day cycle. Each point is valid for 15 days from the day it is recorded in the snapshot. After 15 days, the point expires and is removed from your total. You can view both earned and expiring points in your daily point details.
