Jin10 data reported on August 14, a Reuters survey released on Thursday showed that after successfully persuading the Trump administration to make concessions, three-quarters (75%) of Japanese companies hold a positive attitude towards the recently reached U.S.-Japan tariff protocol. This survey, conducted by Nikkei Research for Reuters, was carried out from July 30 to August 8 and covered 241 anonymous respondents among 497 companies. Notably, 95% of companies stated they would not adjust their capital expenditure plans as a result. 54% of the surveyed companies indicated they will continue to pass on cost pressures, and 46% believe there is limited room for price increases.
